Chamber music workshop 2023
July 16 - 22, 2023, Thüringer Landesmusikakademie

You’ve been practising your instruments for a few years and would now like to play with others?

JukaBB offers workshops in chamber music to enthusiastic young musicians.
If you have previously been part of an orchestra, you will find that chamber music is intensive, challenging, and engrossing in a slightly different way compared to an orchestra, but your orchestral play will definitely benefit from your experience in chamber music. Perhaps you’d like to play a Brahms piano quintet but don’t know anybody to play it with? No problem. Apply as an individual and we will find suitable people for you to play with! You can also apply with your regular duet partner, and existing ensembles are always welcome too!
There are lots of different ways of getting involved with JukaBB, so if you have any questions, just send an email to info@jukabb.de.

Let's try Chamber Music!

jukaBB is sponsored by:

Dear music tutors,

... this project is aimed at young instrumentalists aged 12-21. We recommend that participants prepare their individual parts in advance so that during the workshop they can focus on playing as an ensemble and really get the most out of their rehearsals. It would be great if this project could be an extra motivator for the music tuition and we would like to thank you for your support!

Idea

Many children in Berlin / Brandenburg receive first instrumental lessons at the age of 5-6. After 5-8 years of patient learning and practising they are finally ready to participate in chamber music or an orchestra. This beautiful and fun part of learning an instrument is often made complicated due to the difficulty of organising available and suitable ensemble partners. Although youth orchestras are widely promoted and sponsored, opportunities for playing chamber music as a young musician in Berlin or Brandenburg are often lacking.
“Friends and Sponsors of Youth Chamber Music Berlin Brandenburg” is an association founded in March 2015 with the aim to organise and financially support chamber music projects for young instrumentalists. Through your membership you can support us financially and be involved in sponsoring chamber music opportunities for young musicians. The membership fee is currently EUR 5,- monthly (regular) or free (student or under 18). You can find our Articles of Association here.
There a many other ways for you to support us too, such as helping at events or in-kind donations. If supporting our project interests you, whether through your membership or a donation, please contact Mika Yonezawa via:
